Change icon for multiple folder selection

You will be able to change icon for multiple folder at once. It will really speed up things for some one who has a lot of old icons assigned to their folders.

Work With PNG

I think it will be better if Folderico (ver. 3 & 4) can recognize .png files in "Select custom icon" and convert it to .ico (without third-party software)

It would be a very (very!) helpful function, if not only one folder icon could be changed at a time, but also a list of folders (subfolders etc.) could be changed in one rush. Something like a batch process. Maybe a button / selection field "further

What happened to the overlay feature that the site says is possible?

The main site has a tutorial how to add an overlay -- http://www.folderico.com/how-to-customize-folder-icon.html I loved this idea but when I started playing around with the program, found no way to do this...am I missing it? I installed Folder...

I installed V2 on my XP SP3 machine, and no matter what I do, restarts, reinstalls, and all that stuff, it never comes up in my context menu. I have used folderico in the past with no problems. WTF?

SOLUTION:

Create .BAT file:

FOR /R "[FOLDER]" %%G in (.) DO (
"[folderico_cli.exe]" /set "%%G" "[ICON]" 0
Set icon for: %%G
Popd )

Where:
[FOLDER] - Folder to change icons
[folderico_cli.exe] - full path to folderico_cli.exe
[ICON] - path to icon

I extracted it with Uniextract and it works, only problem is path for languages and icon sets, as you put it in Program Data instead in app root folder. Advantages: - More users as lot of the people don't want to install too many apps. -...

How to make it work across network paths?

I would like for the color changes to be viewable across network paths, not just on a local computer, this is for organizing on my home network. Any ideas?

Please enable option "Extract icon from icl-theme to a single file copy to the customized folder. ( Default )"

In this case Folderico store a relative path, the icon is available to people who view the folder over the network.
